Incentive scheme for establishment of new super specialty hospital
Operative Period: 13.12.2016 to 31.03.2022
- Eligibility:
- Expert doctor registered –Gujarat Medical Council
- Registered Partnership Firm or institution
- Companies, Charitable Trusts, societies and Co-op. institution, Government and Semi Government Board, Corporation, Panchayat, Municipality, Municipal Corporation etc.
- Amount Assistance:
Capital Subsidy – 10% of the loan amount after the date of Operationalization Max. Limit: 10 Crore
Bank Loan – up to 40 crore – 4% interest Subvention
The first stage – after 1 year of operationalization Max. 7 years
Reimbursement Electricity duty – 5 years
Central Government Initiatives:
- Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY):
- Overview: Launched in 2018, PMJAY provides health insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary hospitalization.
- Hospital Empanelment: Both public and private hospitals can apply for empanelment under PMJAY to offer cashless treatment to beneficiaries. Empaneled hospitals receive payments based on predefined package rates for various medical procedures.
- Benefits to Hospitals: Empaneled hospitals experience increased patient footfall and assured payments for services rendered to beneficiaries.
- Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi (RAN):
- Purpose: Provides financial assistance to patients living below the poverty line for treatment of major life-threatening diseases at super-specialty government hospitals/institutes.
- Hospital Participation: Government hospitals can access funds from RAN to support eligible patients, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder critical treatments.
- Funding Mechanism: Revolving funds are established in select central government hospitals, allowing them to provide treatment up to ₹2 lakh per case. Cases requiring funds beyond this limit are referred to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare for additional support. mohfw.gov.in

- Introduction: A health insurance scheme aimed at providing cashless treatment to families below the poverty line in Gujarat.
- Hospital Empanelment: Both public and private hospitals in Gujarat can become empaneled under the MA Yojana to offer cashless services to beneficiaries.
- Benefits to Hospitals: Empaneled hospitals receive direct payments from the government for treatments provided, ensuring a steady revenue stream and increased patient base.
